The demands of the globalization era have placed information as a very influencing resource. This globalization context is also unavoidable in the development of the national education policy that must be understood by university students, abroad scholars and Indonesian society in Thailand.
With the increasing number of university students, Indonesian scholars in Thailand and other ASEAN countries, the Division of the Attaché of Education at the Indonesian Embassy in Bangkok, Thailand, endeavors to provide actual services, administration, and consultation in the field of education as best as possible. The administration services include the report of the carrying out of the duty of students, scholars in Thailand, and Indonesian society, reporting students’ progress and the accomplishment of their study in Thailand
To respond to the globalization challenge and prepare for the ASEAN Community in the year of 2015, the site atdikbangkok.com is aimed at supporting the official site of the Indonesian Embassy in Bangkok, kbri-bangkok.com, that provides education information for the society, university students, and Indonesian scholars in Thailand, that is later on able to give positive contributions in changing the behavior of people’s development that is filled with science, technology, and arts.

Pertemuan Penggurus PERMITHA tahun 2009-2010 dan 2010-2011 dengan Prof. Dr. Didik Sulistyanto, Atdikbud KBRI Bangkok di ruang kerja Atdik,Kamis 11 Maret 2010 berlangsung dengan baik dengan pemaparan Program Kerja PERMITHA 2010-2011 yang dikomandani oleh Mas Fikri, Sukses Suksesi PERMITHA dan kita tunggu sepak terjangnya dalam program kerja PERMITHA 2010-2011mendatang!
PERMITHA organisasi Mahasiswa dan Karyasiswa Indonesia di Thailand yang memiliki anggota sekitar 300 mahasiswa Indonesia se Thailand, yang juga memiliki koordinator atau simpul di beberapa University,seperti di AIT, KMUTT, PSU Hat Yai, Burapha University dll. Yang saling berkoordinasi melalui Mailing List Permitha maupun Ngajikhun dengan sesama anggota maupun dengan Atase Pendidikan KBRI Bangkok.
Hubungan yang sangat erat antara Atase Pendidikan KBRI Bangkok dengan PERMITHA merupakan modalutama dalam mensukseskan program pemerintah dalam rangka meningkatkan kualitas sumberdaya manusia khususnya mahasiswa dan karyasiswa yang sedang belajar di Thailand.

FOREWORD BY H.E. MR. MOHAMMAD HATTA,AMBASSADOR OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA TO THE KINGDOM OF THAILAND, AT THE SECOND WORKSHOP ON SCHOOLS PARTNERSHIP INDONESIA AND THAILAND, DAIICHI HOTEL, HAT YAI, 15 - 19 FEBRUARY 2010
A Very Good Afternoon,
It is a great pleasure and privilege for me to address the Second Workshop on Schools Partnership Indonesia and Thailand, Daichii Hotel, Hat Yai, 15-19 February 2010. Allow me first to express my sincere gratitude to the OVEC from Ministry of Education of Royal Thailand for giving its support and attention to this workshop. I would also like to extend my deep appreciation to the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) that has lent its support through its Regional Open Learning Center (SEAMOLEC) in Indonesia so that this workshop can be held today.
Over the years, Indonesia and Thailand have enjoyed well-established cooperation in various sectors, particularly education sector such as student exchange program, dual degree program and other undertakings regarding high learning institution between two countries. In this context, a number of Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs) had also been signed by universities in the two countries to boost cooperation.
At the regional level, Indonesia and Thailand as the founding members of ASEAN have also taken measures aiming to create ASEAN Community which rest on three pillars, namely ASEAN Political and Security Community, ASEAN Economic Community and ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community. In the context of human development in the region, ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community will address the promotion of improved standards and better access to education through networking and institutional collaboration among member states under the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community Plan of Action.
In this regard, the Indonesian Embassy welcome the initiative to nest the Second Workshop on Schools Partnership Indonesia and Thailand, as it is in conjunction with one of the mission of the Embassy which is to support and promote further people-to-people contact through means of Soft Power Diplomacy.
It is my fervent hope that this Second Workshop on Schools Partnership Indonesia and Thailand will formulate measures of cooperation between schools in Indonesia and Southern of Thailand portrayed in a draft Plan of Action, for the benefit of improving the capacity of human resources, not only for both countries but also for ASEAN students and teachers, mainly for the preparation of the establishment of ASEAN Community Year 2015.
With this note of conclusion, I hope to see more school partnership being established between Indonesia and Thailand in the near future. And the Embassy of Indonesia in Bangkok stands ready to work with all relevant stakeholders both in Thailand and Indonesia for the realization of our shared interest and common goal, that is schools partnership.
Rembug Nasional Pendidikan 2010, Sawangan 2-4 Maret 2010
Kegiatan Rembug Nasional Pendidikan Tahun 2010, mulai tanggal 2-4 MAret 2010 di Sawangan, Bojongsari-Depok, yang direncanakan dibuka oleh Presiden RI, di Istana Presiden karena suatu hal, Bapak Presiden berhalanagan hadir, dan akhirnya dibuka oleh Bapak Mendiknas, Prof.Dr. Mohammad Nuh,DEA., di Pusdiklat Sawangan, Depok. Thema dari Rembug Nasional Pendidikan Tahun 2010 adalah, " Meningkatkan Jaminnan Layanan Pendidikan Berkualitas yang terjangkau UntukSemua".
Peserta Rembug Pendidikan NasionalTahun 2010 ini terdiri dari Rektor PTN dan PTS seluruh Indonesia, Kopertis, Kepala Dinas Pendidikan propinsi dan Kabupaten Kota se Indonesia, Pajabat Kemendiknas, Semua Atase Pendidikan RI se Duniaserta Dubes WRI UNESCO, serta para tokoh masyarakat serta pemerhati Pendidikan berjumlah 788 orang.
Hasilyang diharapkan dalam Rembug NAsional Pendidikan Tahun 2010 adalah: (1) Evaluasi Program dan Capaian Kinerja pembangunan pendidikan tahun 2009, dari masing maisng Unit utama,Provinsi,Kabupaten dan Kota, (2) kebijakan dan program pembanguan pendidikanselama tahun 2011 serta terbangunnya komitmen untuk mensukseskannya,serta (3) lebih meningkatnya pemahaman bagi seluruh pimpinan unit kerja pendidikan di pusat dan daerah thd isue strategis pendidikan Kemendiknas 2010-2014.
Kegiatan Rembug sangat bagus dan sukses dalam pelaksanaannya yang diisi pada hari pertama oleh: bapak Mendiknas, Narasumber,antara lain, Prof. Yuwono Sudarsono, Prof. Rhenald Kasali,Ph.D, serta Bapak Dr. Permana Agung. Sedangkan hari kedua sidang Komisi dan Sub Komisi yang terbagi atas sub komisi yang sangat merata dan tertata rapi saling mendiskusikan thema thema yang berkaitan dengan Pendidikan.
Komisi I membahas Akselerasi pemerataan pembangunan pendidikan dan strategi operasional SPM dan SNP, Komisi II: Revitalisasi pendidikan untuk membangun manusia yangberdaya saing, Komisi III: Penyelerasan pendidikan untuk membangun manusia yang berdaya saing, Komisi IV: Penguatan peran pendidikan dalam upaya peningkatan akhlak mulia dan pembangunan karakter bangsa,serta Komisi V: Strategi pembiayaan pendidikan untuk menjamin keterjangkauan layanan pendidikan.
Rembug NAsional Pendidikan Tahn 2010 sukses dan berjalan lancar dengan menghasilkan rumusan yang bagus sesuai dengan Renstra 2010-2014.
